Further to our notification regarding the strike in Italy today, our main last mile partner has announced that they will be suspending the deliveries of shipments from Tuesday 22nd until Thursday 24th December. The shipments can be exported and distributed only to the local agencies for pick up by the recipients, for these dates. The alternative is to not export the shipments during these days, but on Monday 28th, at which point they can be normally delivered, as per protocol. We are actively trying to find an alternative in order to accommodate the volume of shipments for these 3 days, however, due to the announced strike today, we shall have updates only on Monday 21st December, at which point we will release a new update.In conclusion, given the excessive seasonal volume of shipments in combination with the strike in Italian courier companies, delays are to be expected in the delivery of shipments in Italy, for the following days.We are working towards finding the best possible solution and ensuring the best possible service under these circumstances. ... The recipients receives in their email/SMS notification a unique code which they have to provide to the driver in order to receive their shipment. The service includes entering the first and last name of the recipient into the driver's scanner upon delivery, without self-signed signature by the recipient.There may be some delays in delivery, in some areas due to local restrictions and lockdowns.
